This glass features a lush, round shape with lines (ribs) that have been artfully blown in. The sphere is characteristic of the Art Deco art style and remains extremely popular due to its modern appearance.
The Art Deco Amber color gives a warm, orange-yellow glow resembling the luster of amber. To be clear: The color was not created using foil or spray painting. The models are hand-blown using an honest glass formula.
The Calabash is inspired by the glasswork of designer Andries Dirk Copier (1901-1991), the most important Dutch glass artist of the 20th century.
The pumpkin fruit served as a model for blowing various flower vases in interesting experimental colors. The vases were often filled with fragrant lilies, tulips, hydrangeas, or peonies.
