An impressive chandelier is often the eye-catcher in a building. Chandeliers attract admiring glances from visitors. A chandelier is a complicated decorative hanging lamp in an extravagant shape. This shape can be made up of various arches or arms, or it can be very closed and grand.

The Blue Art Barn sells the most beautiful chandeliers online!

Below is a description of the models on offer.
The classic chandelier is complemented by decorations in the form of arches and ornaments. Where candles once flickered, today we see mouth-blown glass shades in all kinds of shapes that are electrically illuminated. The chandelier still resembles an enormous candlestick with many candles. A famous name is the Maria Theresa chandelier. This is a chandelier with an abundance of small crystal parts and decorations. Contemporary chandeliers still resemble these traditional lamps in terms of shape, but the choice of materials is different and the design is therefore sleeker.

The Art Nouveau chandelier is frivolous and capricious and based on growth forms from nature. The famous ‘whiplash line’, wavy, asymmetrical lines, often inspired by plants and flowers, are characteristic of the Jugendstil style.

The Art Deco chandelier is characterised by a sleekly crafted fixture and ‘arms’ that show off hand/mouth-blown glass. Impressive due to its heavy brass or bronze fixture, it features beautiful antique manufactured glass.

The basis of the Fiftie chandelier lies in the Art Deco style. In the 1950s, the style became somewhat lighter and more fluid. The materials used also became less traditional. The colour palette was characterised by a striking mix of pastel colours such as pink, mint green and turquoise. In addition, bright colours such as red, orange and yellow also became popular.

Beauty and light in abundance!
