Expressionist, curved lines, pointed corners and exuberant decorative elements: some of the characteristics of the Amsterdam School style. This unique Tiffany glass shade is inspired by this innovative art movement, which manifested itself between ca.1910-1940. The Amsterdam School is also seen as the Dutch variant of the Art Deco style. The parabola shape is a commonly used shape within the Amsterdam School style and has therefore been taken as the starting point for the design. The unusual shape makes the lamp a real eye-catcher with the warm shades of mother-of-pearl, cream and brown (with a touch of deep purple) as a beautiful combination.
