Light sculptures

Do you recognise your own cat in this quirky Art Deco cat? Quirky, proud and confident.

The blue Art Barn is pleased with the new light sculptures!

During the 1920s and 1930s, Art Deco-style animals were often used as architectural details. Exotic influences also played a role in these years. Therefore, the domestic cat, which originated from the Egyptian wild cat, was particularly popular among Art Deco artists. The stylistic and geometric shapes give this pretty light sculpture an attractive look. The reverse side is also beautiful to look at, so 360 degrees all around a cuddly look.

Also fantastic is the squirrel! An imposing tail, a sweet head, beautiful fur. We love spotting a squirrel! The little animal is lightning fast in the forest, jumping from branch to branch in great leaps. Its food may include acorns and seeds, but they also quietly nibble on buds of flowers. In autumn, squirrels stockpile food for the winter and this they hide under leaves in some soil. See our Art Deco squirrel here! The creature doesn't suddenly bolt away, but patiently stays put. Enjoy this light sculpture.
