A beautiful lamp!
An interesting, sleek fitting made of bronze displays cube-shaped motifs. There are also other cube-shaped elements, made of transparent glass sticks, which complete the lamp. The glass sticks can wobble a little and twinkle beautifully when the light (daylight and artificial light) play with it.
The design is based on the Wiener Werkstätte which was founded in Vienna in 1903. The founders were the artists Josef Hoffmann and Koloman Moser.
While other similar workplaces created mass production, this was not the case at the Wiener Werkstätte. People strove to create a good product for a selective market.
The WW's way to express itself was based on abstract patterns, geometrical motifs, squares and lattice structures.
